- In an effort to provide time for beginning of the year assessments, the district calendar set these two days to be structured differently than you are accustomed to. Each school has scheduled these days to address their particular needs. Minnequa’s schedule for these two days will be as follows:
We are requesting that all parents attend a welcome back breakfast and orientation meeting on their child’s transition day from 8:00 – 9:30 AM. It will be offered both days, but you are only required to attend one presentation. This will be your opportunity to learn about our expectations and meet your child’s teacher.
August 25th: All students 1st – 5th grades will begin attending from 8:00 – 3:10.
Kindergarten students will also attend these two days according to their surnames; however they will be dismissed at 11:00. They will all attend beginning on August 25th until 11:00 AM. Full day Kindergarten will start on September 7th. These shortened days will allow the teachers to assess the students by appointment each afternoon.
Regular school days/hours for 2010 – 2011:
o 8:00 – 3:10 Monday – Thursday; 8:00 – 1:30 Friday
